At a young age, Terence took acting classes from Dutch teachers across the country, as well as international coaches like Mark W. Travis (LA), Judith Weston (LA), Hetty MacDonald (UK), and Rutger Hauer (LA/NL). She worked extensively in theater throughout the Netherlands. In 2003, she made her television debut in the crime series Baantjer. This was followed by productions such as Costa!, All Stars, Spangen, Intensive Care, De Band, and Annie MG. She became a well-known actress in the Netherlands, and by 2008, she starred in two feature films: De Punt by Hanro Smitsman and Ver Van Familie by Marion Bloem. She continued to appear in films and series like Van God Los, Zusjes, De Verbouwing, and Cornea.
In 2015, she landed a lead role in Kristen, a Dutch-English thriller by Mark Weistra, which gained international recognition, winning multiple awards for both the film and Terence. Recent projects include the Berlinale 2019 selection My Extraordinary Summer with Tess, Het Verhoor, and the feature film Strijder. She is part of season 4 of Oogappels and is currently developing her own projects. This year, she will appear in the new series Tweestrijd and Incognito.
